In this course, we will explore the spiritual, physical, and emotional dynamics between husband and wife through the guidance of Allah.

  • Why Marriages Fail: Understanding the most common issues within a marriage through a counselor’s perspective.
  • Conflict Resolution: Learning the art of communication through conflict between spouses.
  • When to Call It Quits: Understanding the signs and considerations when it is time to walk away.
  • How to Get Divorced Correctly: Understanding the steps to be taken from a shariah, legal, financial, and emotional angle before divorce.
  • Healing & Living in Peace: Learning the skill to heal and rebuild following a divorce, continuing to find Allah’s grace.

Certification Requirements: A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the program to participants who pass the final exam consisting of 20 MCQs, with a minimum score of 80%.

Instructor

Shaykh Muhammad West

is a devoted husband and father of three, born in Cape Town and raised in Jeddah. He holds degrees in Islamic Theology from the Islamic University of Madinah and Accounting Science from the University of South Africa. Graduating second in his Dawah faculty, he became Chartered Accountant in 2013 going on to pursue a career in finance at some of the largest retailers in the Southern Hemisphere. He is Finance Director of the International Open University and serves on the Imam Development Program and Muslim Judicial Council of South Africa. For over a decade, Shaykh Muhammad has been the resident Imam at Boorhaanol Islam Masjid, one of the oldest mosques in South Africa. He is an internationally sought-after life coach and marriage counselor with 15 years’ experience helping hundreds of couples in their journey of marriage.
