Client Agreement
Imam consultation is a process in which the imam provide Islamic guidance and information that is inline with the Quran and Sunnah, to help you with your concerns. Counselling will help you explore the issues which are troubling you.
Whatever is discussed during imam consultation will remain completely confidential and no one will have access to the information you share. There are some exceptions to this- in cases where the imam feels there is imminent danger/harm to yourself or someone else, the imam might need to break confidentiality. However, this will be discussed with you prior to the imam taking any action.
If the imam does not deal with the issue for which you are seeking consultation, or feels the issue may need to be addressed by a qualified counselor, psychologist or someone with expertise in the area, you will be asked to continue with them.
Imam consultation sessions will be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or fortnightly depending on the problem. We will discuss the frequency of sessions in the first session.
Imam Consultation may take anywhere from 1 to 5 sessions, depending on the problem you are presenting. Note: We do not provide email consultation at present.
Each imam consultation session will take at least 50 minutes.
As for replying to emails by the imam or the admin, we will get back to you within 72 hours.
After every 4 to 6 sessions, we will review the counseling process and goals.
Please minimize all kinds of distractions during consultation. You need a quiet place, preferably with no one else around, or any one interrupting you during the sessions.
Please know that you might be required to do “homework exercises” such as reading, praying, changing behaviors, and otherwise acting in your best interest.
If you cannot attend a session, please email the imam at least 24 hours prior to the session time in the same email thread with the Solace admin. If you do not do so, or do not attend the session, you will be charged the full fee for that session.
