Solace has launched “The Neuroscience of Emotional Intelligence: A Faith-Based Path to Emotional Mastery,” a 2-day workshop with Dr.Sana Khan to help you break the cycle, reclaim control over your inner world, and reframe your emotions as strength.
This immersive weekend workshop explores emotional intelligence through the lens of neuroscience and Islamic teachings. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how emotions are formed, processed, and regulated in the brain. Grounded in Qur’anic guidance and Prophetic teachings, the workshop highlights how Islam nurtures emotional awareness, self-control, empathy, and healthy relationships.

Instructor's Profile
Dr. Sana Khan brings an interdisciplinary academic background that integrates neuroscience with psychology and Islamic thought. She began her academic journey in the natural sciences, earning a BSc in Biochemistry and Life Sciences, followed by a Diploma in Biotechnology, and a Master’s degree in Neurosciences with a research focus on neurodegeneration and neural regeneration. Alongside her scientific training, she pursued formal Islamic scholarship, completing a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Islamic Studies, and later a PhD in Islamic Sciences. Currently, Dr. Sana serves as Joint Faculty in the Departments of Islamic Studies and Psychology at the International Open University. Her research and teaching interests include emotional intelligence from a neuroscientific perspective, neuropsychology, Islamic psychology, religious coping mechanisms, Aqeedah studies, and comparative religious studies. Her work uniquely bridges brain science, emotional regulation, and faith-based frameworks for human wellbeing.
